BXTA’s Return to Face to Face Events in 2022

With the United Kingdom’s COVID-19 restrictions now completely lifted, events are beginning to start up again. After many virtual conferences and meetings, we are excited that BXTA will be returning to face to face events this year. Please see a list below of all the events we will be attending between now and July 2022:

30th April: Ëifeler Urology Day in Kloster Steinfeld, Germany

BXTA will be exhibiting at the Ëifeler Urology Day, where we will be demonstrating local anaesthetic transperineal prostate biopsies (LATP) with The PrecisionPoint™ Transperineal Access System(PP). Our Clinical Application Specialist, Norbert Paulus, based in Germany, will be attending the event as our representative.

13th May: Cambridge Prostate MRI and Biopsy Course  in Gothenburg, Sweden

This  international workshop has traditionally addressed the best approach to learning the skills required to read a prostate MRI and how best to obtain targeted biopsies, involving Radiologists, Urologists, Oncologists and Pathologists – bringing together medical practitioners who care passionately for challenging scientific and clinical issues that relate to radiology and urology. One key area that will be discussed during the course is ‘Transperineal Prostate Biopsy in General and Local Anesthesia,’ where BXTA will be exhibiting the PrecisionPoint™ Transperineal Access System.  Modules for beginners and advanced readers are provided. 18th-19th May: Bavarian Association of Urologists and the Austrian Society for Urology and Andrology 2022 in Lindau, Germany.

The Bavarian Association of Urologists, founded in 1949, is a non-profit association for the promotion of scientific and professional training for its members. The Austrian Society for Urology and Andrology (ÖGU) is also a non-profit association with the purpose of promoting urology and andrology. Since 1974, this joint annual conference has been organised by the Bavarian Association of Urologists in close cooperation with the Austrian Society for Urology and Andrology, which are regularly held alternately by the two specialist societies, appealing to a urology audience. 8th-11th June: NUF Congress in Messukeskus, Siipi (Congress wing) in Pasila, Helsinki, Finland

This is the Scandinavian Association of Urology 2022, the 33rd NUF congress, taking place over four days in June. It is organised by urologists and urological nurses from Helsinki University Hospital, in collaboration with the Finnish Urological Association, Association of Urologic Nurses of Finland and Scandinavian Association of Urology (NUF – Nordisk Urologisk Förening. 11th June: GP Urology MasterClass in Perth, Australia

This year is the fifth annual GP Urology masterclass, which is designed to give back to GPs in the form of gold standard education based on what GPs need to know about urology, and is fast becoming one of the premier events on the WA GP Education Calendar, with 200 delegates attending last year. Urology is a very broad field of practice and the day will encompass all aspects of urology. Nicola Leavold from BXTA will be attending the event and will be discussing the PrecisionPoint™ Transperineal Access System, as well as LDR Brachytherapy. 13th-15th June: BAUS Annual Meeting 2022 in Birmingham, England

BXTA will be attending the BAUS annual meeting, a celebration of global urology, where a variety of topics will be discussed; such as Andrology & Genito-Urethral Surgery, Joint AGUS & Oncology, Testis Cancer in the UK, EAU Guidelines in the Spotlight and sessions organised by the sections of Oncology and BAUS.  John Alden, our Commercial Director for Northern Europe, will be attending the event at stand number 130, and can answer any questions you may have specifically about LATP biopsies and the PrecisionPoint™ Transperineal Access System. 1st-4th July: Annual EAU Congress in Amsterdam, Netherlands

BXTA will be attending the 37th Annual EAU Congress – the first physical Annual Congress since 2019. The EAU Exhibition is one of the premier events worldwide for showcasing new and established products as well as cutting-edge medical technology, so BXTA are excited to be exhibiting the PrecisionPoint™ Transperineal Access System, highlighting the benefits of LATP biopsies, in comparison to traditional TRUS methods.

Additionally, the scientific programme at the Congress will include live surgery, state-of-the-art lectures, case discussions and lively debates. The Annual Congress also presents an opportunity for young urologists to attend educational courses by the European School of Urology. For this year’s edition, it will include patient and nursing speakers in the programme, emphasising the multidisciplinary nature of urology.
