BXTAccelyon is dedicated to raising awareness of LDR brachytherapy (LDR-B) and the full range of treatment options available to prostate cancer patients. As such, over the last twelve months, we have attended many international events and conferences and the latter part of this year is set to follow suit.

DGU

The 70th German Society for Urology (DGU) conference will take place on the 26th – 29th September in Dresden. The event offers an extensive programme under the motto "Tradition, Innovation and Responsibility". We’ll be in attendance to hear all the latest news and innovations in Urology.

PrecisionPoint Workshops

The PrecisionPoint™ Transperineal Access System revolutionises the methodology for obtaining prostate biopsies. This medical system takes full advantage of the transperineal path to more thoroughly sample all regions of the prostate including those difficult to access with the transrectal approach.

Training dates will take place on a Friday and alternate Saturday morning at the end of each month. Due to the practical nature of the course places are limited to 8 delegates. There are two available options:

● Option 1 is a 1.5-day workshop, course suitable for delegates who wish to receive a full understanding of transperineal biopsies.

● Option 2 is a 1-day workshop course suitable for delegates who already have comprehensive experience of standard transperineal biopsies.

Friday 26th- Saturday 27th October 2018

ABRO-BVRO Autumn Meeting 2018

On the 21st and 22nd of September, the autumn meeting will take place in Dolce La Hulpe/Terhulpen, Brussels. During this meeting, the several national societies involved in radiation oncology, including; ABRO/BVRO, GBS/VBS, BRAVO and will present their work, goals and accomplishments.

USANZ

The Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand (USANZ) is the peak professional body for urological surgeons in Australia & New Zealand. Our representative for Australia and New Zealand will be attending a series of USANZ meetings over the course of the next few months. See below for a full schedule of attendance:

● Northern Section Meeting, Brisbane: Friday 12th – Saturday 13th October

● New Zealand Section Meeting: 24th – 26th October

● NSW Section Meeting: 1st – 3rd November

● Tasmanian Section Meeting: 9th – 10th November

BAUS South Thames Meeting

The South Thames Regional Meeting is held bi-annually around the regions of South London and the South East Coast. Delegates are invited to attend presentations of various audit and research projects from around will be given. This years’ meeting will be held on the 20th November at Frimley Park hospital.

We will be in attendance at the South Thames meeting to present the PrecisionPoint™ Transperineal Access System.
