El estudio, realizado por Canary Foundation, investig\u00f3 la capacidad de la IRM de pr\u00f3stata para detectar el c\u00e1ncer del Grupo \u22652 en la escala de Grason (GG) en una cohorte de vigilancia activa multi-institucional y est\u00e1ndar, y concluy\u00f3 con la recomendaci\u00f3n de la biopsia sistem\u00e1tica en pacientes con IRM negativa y la inclusi\u00f3n de la biopsia sistem\u00e1tica en pacientes con IRM positiva.<\/div>\n<div>Se evaluaron hombres que participaron en el estudio de vigilancia activa de la pr\u00f3stata del Canary Foundation (PASS) con GG&lt;2 y sin una biopsia realizada durante los \u00faltimos 12 meses de la IRM multiparam\u00e9trica. El resultado primario del estudio fue una reclasificaci\u00f3n de la biopsia de GG2 o superior.<\/div>\n<div>Hubo 361 participantes con IRMs de pr\u00f3stata con una media de seguimiento del 4,1. (IQR: 2,0-7,6) a\u00f1os. En general, se reclasificaron 108\/395 biopsias (el 27%). Los IRM positivos se definen como PIRADS 3-5. NPV y el PPV para detecci\u00f3n de c\u00e1ncer GG \u22652 fue del 83% (95% CI: 76-90%) y 31% (95% CI: 26-37%), respectivamente. La PIRADS est\u00e1 muy relacionada con la reclasificaci\u00f3n (PIRADS 5 frente a 1 y 2 OR = 2,71; 95% CI: 1.21-6.17, p = 0.016) en un modelo multivariable, pero no mejor\u00f3 sobre el modelo con un \u00fanico factor cl\u00ednico (AUC 0,768 frente a 0,762).
